Getting Lucky

55

By Jess Killmenow

Chance, change, chance a change, take a chance for a change or change for a chance, this dance. Your pants, my lance, a dozen roses for your thoughts and perhaps something slightly lower in altitude and attitude. Chance, if chance you call it. Gandalf is a wise wizard, wizardwise. I always liked him but he had little use for cartoons.

Coincidence? I think not. What is coincidence but a synergy of events, a co-in SIDE ence, co inside a fence, defense, repents. A couple of things happen at once. Is that luck, serendipity, a deity's foible? Don't kid me. Your spirit guides don't know either, I'll bet. But I'm going to find out. If I lose the bet I'll also win. Hey! This is fun! Going, see dents. Coin C dents. Coingzee dense. Meaning less.

Synergy is interesting and attractive, vortex-like yet with its own spin and counter-spin, maelstrom of happening. Love to see synergy. It is a powerful fusion of disparate and seemingly unrelated forces that somehow conspire to create. I love to see it spin whatever it is going to spin into being, a new thing of matter or energy rippling outward like a shock wave or nuclear blast, affecting all, even those incognizant. Something of a miracle.

And is anything truly a miracle? If one is open and receptive and expectationless, how could anything be a miracle? Nothing is beyond the reach of The Creative, God, the Universe, whomever, us.

No, the miracle is us. Every day, every moment. Us. Stretch those six senses outward to infinity and make the most of this party. It ends all too soon.

Be with me here, now. Be with me always. Be with me because I love you. I love you because you are me and I am you and that. May we harmonize together the symphony that will please the ear of the universe.

That would be you.  Yes, we're ALL lucky, bucko.  You and me both.  Don't you forget it.

Something very special about this one, Jess.

Quite brilliant, the way you worded it, gradually unveiling a beautiful present. At least that´s how it seemed to me. Thank you. x

I probably would agree that the miracle is us - but then I think the miracle is us still being us from all the goofs we make along the way!

Jess,do you put words in a blender to make your poems?

Do you think the Universe really does hear our created

symphonies? What a beautiful thought and what a highly proficient poem.
